About the City of Tustin

The City of Tustin is a dynamic, growing city situated between Los Angeles and San Diego County and has a current population of over 74,000 residents. With the recent re-development of the Tustin Marine Base, the City will be growing and adding new residents, businesses and entertainment venues. Tustin is located in the heart of Orange County encompassing an area of over 11 square miles and is transected by two major freeways; the I-5 (Santa Ana Freeway) and the SR-55, (Costa Mesa Freeway) which makes it an ideal location to live and work. Tustin residents enjoy a variety of recreational activities, an ideal climate, and close proximity to Southern California’s magnificent beaches, deserts and mountains.
 
The Market Place is a Tustin marketplace offering more than 120 stores to choose from including Toys“R”US, Home Depot, Circuit City, The Good Guys, and Chick’s Sporting Goods. For more than 15 years, the Market Place has been one of Southern California’s largest and most popular retail centers. We also offer an exciting selection of dining and entertainment choices to complement any shopping.
   
The Tustin Legacy Project is located in Southern California near the center of Orange County and is approximately 40 miles southeast of Downtown Los Angeles. Tustin Legacy is a community in Tustin, California and was developed on the former Marine Corps Air Station Tusitn. The majority of the MCAS-Tustin base is located in the City of Tustin (about 1511 acres) and a portion is located in the City of Irvine. Tustin Legacy has planned parks and a commercial retail center called The District of Tustin Legacy (open Fall 2006). The Tustin High School will also be moving into Tustin Legacy.
