- Canine Unit: Officers partnered with certified dogs to locate narcotics and suspects.
- SWAT: A multi-agency team called upon to diffuse the most dangerous incidents.
- Detective: Conduct criminal investigation relating to homicide, robbery, fraud, domestic violence and property crimes.
- Special Investigations Unit: A specialized unit responsible for narcotic and vice investigations.
- Gang Unit: A specialized unit for investigation of all gang related crimes.
- Crime Impact Team: A specialized enforcement team targeting emerging crime trends.
- Traffic/Motorcycle Patrol: Officers specializing in traffic enforcement and accident investigations.
- School Resource Officer: Officers assigned to Tustin High School and middle schools in partnership with the school district working together to promote education and crime prevention.
- Professional Standards Unit: Unit responsible for background investigations, internal affair investigations, and the training of all department personnel.
- Range Master: Training of all sworn personnel in continued weapon proficiency, weapon retention and safety.
- Regional Narcotics Suppression Program (RNSP): A county wide multi-agency task force specializing in narcotic suppression.
