AJ has been a resident and business owner in Tustin since 2010. His goal for being on CAB is to put his inquisitive mind to work and help to enhance the quality of life for the Tustin community. He is also involved with Tustin Chamber of Commerce and serves on the board of the Tustin Community Emergency Response Team.
Al lived and supported the Orange County area for the past 35 years. He actively participated in law enforcement community programs for over 20 years. Al was a member of various board positions to support local community programs.
Bill was raised in Massachusetts. He graduated from UMass with an Engineering Degree and then from the University of Texas with his MBA. In 1997, he moved from Dallas to California with his wife, Tammy. After 32 years in the high-tech industry, Bill left and started his own small business, Black Parrot Sign Studio, in the City of Tustin in 2014. They went on to win the Chamber’s Business of the Year award the very next year (2015).
Bill tries to be as involved as possible in the Tustin community. Besides serving on the CAB, he is a member of the local Rotary Club, Elks Club and Big Brothers, Big Sisters organization. He is especially involved with the Tustin Chamber of Commerce and looks forward to serving as the Chairman for 2017-18.
Bill and Tammy have been married for 20 years and have two teenage daughters (as well as 3 dogs, 4 Koi and a turtle).
Julie is a public information officer for Orange County Waste & Recycling. Julie and her husband, José moved to Tustin with two young sons in 1993. Julie loves their neighborhood and the the education that their sons receive in Tustin. As a CAB member Julie can be a voice of the community with direct connection to Chief Celano. Julie hopes to share her knowledge about the Tustin Police Department with her neighbors.
After having a business in Tustin for a number of years, Mark fell in love with the community and moved from Newport Beach to North Tustin. The Police Department serves a very important function in the community and he wants to be able to assist the Department as a third party for support of policies as well as controversial issues that my arise within the community. He feels he should participate in round-table or brainstorming sessions for ideas that may assist the department with communication within the community. He feels the CAB's input and opinions are valuable in helping the Chief make important decisions affecting the community.
Osman Cemal Tashan is a Turkish-American businessman and Electrical Engineer. Being an early adapter and technology lover, he has designed, developed and tested software for all kinds of computers and mobile devices since the dawn of the computer era. He appears on radio shows covering developments in the tech industry. He regularly delivers speeches on web design, particularly on the topic of designing websites to be senior-friendly. He ardently believes in the participation of the seniors in today’s high-tech world.
He is a pioneer of the card operated locks and electronic safes in the hospitality industry. His interest in security and safety dates back to his days in the Air Force. Since that time he has been involved in many national and local security and safety related activities. He is a proud graduate of the Tustin PD Citizen Police Academy and a member of the Tustin Police Chief’s Advisory Board.
As a pilot, his experience with the third dimension grew his interest in photography, primarily landscape and monumental photography. He has published three books on photography and travel.
Osman Cemal has resided in Tustin, CA for more than 15 years and loves to travel.
Randy has been a business owner in Tustin since 2004, and has always admired the close knit Tustin community. He developed and currently operates I-5 Self Storage, which has received National awards for its innovative design, exceptional service, and unique amenities. Randy is a former sworn Criminal Trials Prosecutor for the City of Los Angeles and also worked as legal counsel for the CA Dept of Corrections. He is committed to working alongside Chief Celano and the Tustin Police Dept. Command Staff in serving the community fully by constantly exploring and improving current relationships between law enforcement and society.
Thomas has been a business owner in Old Town Tustin since 1994. He believes his role as a CAB member is to provide input and advise on current topics, trends, and to help establish and maintain a great relationship between the Community and the Tustin Police Department.
Vicki has lived in Tustin since 2001. She is pleased to serve on the CAB and support the Tustin Police Department's goal of excellence in law enforcement. As an advocate of community involvement, she volunteers with a number of organizations serving people in need.
